What is the Daniel Fast?

The Daniel Fast is derived from the Bible, which states in Daniel 10:3: "I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled." The Daniel Fast limits food choices to vegetables and water as stated in the Book of Daniel. It thus requires abstinence from "meat, fish, egg, dairy products, chocolates, ice creams, sugar, or any sweets".

Spiritual Focus During the Fast

The Daniel Fast is not only about dietary changes but also about spiritual growth. Dedicate time each day to prayer, Bible study, and reflection. Seek to draw closer to God and align your life with His will.
